Aroma: malty and herbs. Appearance: clear straw color and nice white head. Taste: medium herbal bitterness, some malty notes, iron, spruce, quite dry. Palate: low body and medium carbonation, bitter finish with sulfur. Overall: That’s ok, surprisingly. Herbal bitterness with spruce, that’s even surprising.

Typisk konsumøl, ikke det store sus, der anes en smule græs i smagen eller anonym

33 cl. bottle @ home as Warsteiner Double Hopped, bought @ Mitra Tiel. Clear golden with a white head. Grainy grassy aroma with European hops. Taste is fairly bitter, suited for a classic pilsener. Reminds me a bit of Jever. Nice pilsener.

A pretty decent beer. Light colour with a nice herbal hoppy aroma.. And some of that skunk trust is found in European lagers and pilsners. Similar flavours. Not bad for a fairly low ABV.

Not sure how I’m the first to add this beer, buying it in Winnipeg (Canada). Maybe brewed for the North American market? Anyway... Can, pours a clear pale yellow with a thick white head. Aroma is pretty classic pilsener, mild, grainy, some corn. Flavour is surprisingly decent - extra hops are apparent and pretty tasty. Really tastes like an amped-up version of a classic pilsener, and flavourful for the ABV.

Drinking blind from a 33cl bottle. Labeled as Double Hopped. In the aroma metal, alcohol and yeast. The clear golden beer has a medium white head. The taste is a bit watery, some hop. Medium carbonated.

Labeled as "Warsteiner Double Hopped". No mention of herbs. Clear yellow body, bubbles, and lasting foamy white head and nice lacing. Pleasant sweet grainy aroma. Taste is slight sweet malt grains, and the faintest bitterness, maybe a touch of rhubarb tartness as well. Certainly not bitter and the "double hops" are not evident, but it’s a quality pilsener, though not among the upper end like the better Czech varieties. Quaffable. Pleasant.

Bottle 33cl. Label says Double Hopped (for outside German language countries I presume). Clear light to medium golden color, large frothy white head, halfway lasting, sticky lacing; grainy nose, grassy hops, pale malt, hint of citrus; taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grassy; medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, aftertaste light bitter, slightly sweet, grassy hops; pleasant pilsener, quite quaffable.
