500ml bottle from some very kind colleagues at work. Pours a clear golden colour with a thickish white head. Good herby hoppy aroma. Yes a decent German pilsner, far more hoppy than usual. Clean body that is a little dull but fine and does its job. The good flowery herby finish is appealing. In fact the whole beer is appealing. Yes the body is a little light and watery, but that is made up for by the hops. Lovely.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 4.8%. Faint citric aroma. Clear pale yellow colour. Big beautiful stable white head. The flavour is quite malty and a little sweet. Has a horsey, tangey note like old grain, but not really unpleasant. Watery finis with a mild, but lingering bitterness.

A bit too bitter for my taste, especially with the nice and soft taste Warsteiner normally has.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
33cl bottle, pours deep gold with a white foam, standard hay hoppy nose, good bitterness with a bit of buttery malt under, hop-bitter finish is lasting and a bit acrid. All they’ve done with the double hopping is add bitterness - no more flavour or aroma. It’s not actually bad, but it’s one dimensional and not especially pleasant.
