spicy too!   That spiciness reminds me of a Pumpkin Ale that hasn’t aged too well.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Slightly sweet finish.   A little dull, some corny aspects, with that old Pumpkin Ale like
spiciness.   Very mediocre and mealy.

I walk into a Christmas party and one of the guys knows I’m a beer geek. He has a grin on his face and gives me the "Oh boy, wait to see what I brought" and pulls out the 12pack Warsteiner Octoberfest and goes on to tell me that if the name is hard to pronounce and its from Germany... it must be good. I guess it’s the thought that counts right? OH well, a decent light beer that the typical jagoff brings to a party. fidel (1029), Livermore, California, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 28, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear, pale copper colored body with a thin, fizzy, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves barely a trace of lace. Aroma is a slightly grainy, moderately sweet caramel with a hint of earth and flowery fruits. Flavor is watery fruits, a touch of earth, and some sweeter caramels with a hint of toast. Starts off thin, but builds in body and flavor towards the finish. Light bodied, somewhat dry, and thin on the carbonation. Lingers with a light bitterness and some moderate caramels. Overall, an unexciting Oktoberfest with a bland lager feel. Not terrible, but nothing to write home about. beerlover82 (100), Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, USA
