EithCubes (1756), Indiana, USA Jul 18, 2008 Bottle (not exactly fresh, but within a year). Grassy citric aroma, nearly skunked but again, I don’t think it’s an issue of age. Pale malts shining right through. Golden, clear body with minimal carbo and a light cream colored head. Taste is sweet and bready with light floral hops, medium body with lots of lemon. Slightly tart and nicely balanced. Sunny and cheerful. Thumbs up! maniac4016 (90), sky ute, Illinois, USA Jul 5, 2008 good interpretation of the style, malty with good balance. their are better octoberfest of their but this one passes muster Rciesla (712), Brick City, New Jersey, USA May 19, 2008 Bottle. Pours light straw body and a thin white head. Aroma is sweet malt and some roasted hop character. not to good. MadMan (470), Mesa, Arizona, USA Apr 14, 2008 Bottle. Pours an orangy amber with thin fizzy white head. Aroma is slightly vegetal with an amount of caramel malt. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Initial hit of bready malts followed by caramel and a light grassy bitterness. Fizzy and thin. This might have tasted alright, in the right frame of mind, a few months back. Almost a waste of a clean glass to me now. I got a 12 pack cheap at Sprouts, I’ll drink the rest straight outta the bottle. Braudog (3461), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Mar 22, 2008 Draft 1/2 liter at Bier Garden, Portsmouth. Amber, glistening and clear. Germanic lacing. Light caramel/crystal aroma. Quite hoppy in its Teutonic way ... tightly tart over a well balanced malt. Superb examplar of the style and went awesome with cordon bleu. (#3353, 3/22/2008)
