Draft at the Beir Garden in Boca Raton, FL. Dimpled Mug. Orange-brown pour with thick white head. Malty nose with toffee and caramel. Taste was smooth caramel, toffee, slight roasted almonds, and bread. Medium body, smooth finish. Malty aftertaste. Overall not bad.

A Helles Octoberfest: don’t expect a copper or rich amber color. It is in the Octoberfest style since it is maltier and a tad sweeter than regular Warsteiner (Premium Verum). The alcohol content is not 5% but is listed at 5.9%. This is a nice beer for those that like Helles styled Octoberfest brew.

11.2 oz 2014 bottle a few days past the 2015 BB date. Looks as it should, with lots of visible carbonation rising thru a clear amber body to form a thick white head. Ample lacing is left on the glass. Skunky, but I allow some tolerance for this given the dating. Less malty than typical for style.

Well balanced and tasty Oktoberfest beer! Very malt forward with nice flavouring and easy drinkability.

Lost rating from last fall. Pours clear gold with a fluffy white head. Quite biscuity but otherwise somewhat bland.

Nice and sweet, put still crisp and smooth, easy drinker. Almost clear golden body, light wispy head, totally cereal, sweet malt throughout

Pours a medium yellow with a thin lasting white head. The nose is sweet malt. Body is medium with an unctuous quality. Palate is upfront malt with the speciality malt adding to its flavor and a slight but lingering bitterness. Alcohol content is 5.9% not the 5% listed. 11.2 oz bottle.

Wasn’t was I was hoping for with an octoberfest. It was light on flavor, palette, and everything. Lager feel

Pours a clear amber color. Small head dissipates quick. Nose of faint biscuit and malt. Taste of biscuit and honey.

poured from a 11.02 oz. dark brown glass bottle (nice and cold) into a dimpled mug. an unassuming aroma; a color depth between gold and tan; a most scrumptious taste; light palate and over it all, i like this. wish this marzen would be available year’round, round here, but it ain’t. so, when it is here, take advantage. cheaper, too, than them other marzens are, too.

Clear rich gold with a fluffy white head. The aroma is pure golden toast and blonde grains with a very full Pilsner biscuitiness. Full palate with a big golden toast and biscuit flavor, Pilsner malts and German grass hops with low bitterness and lots of bread notes.
