Watery. Just a standard dark beer. Not much more to say.

Decent but nothing special. The taste does not quite live up to the smell, though. Has an odd grainy bitter taste that I can’t quite place. Very light bodied and not quite as "chewy" as other dunkels I’ve had. Watery, underflavored finish. A little caustic?

Not a terribly different taste from the regular version. A very faint dark flavor, not strong at all.

Mahogany, antique look that was nicely contrasting to superb head. Not to strong soft aroma of medium roasted malts, some sweet flowers were noticed as well. Taste - this beer was fairly light, a bit creamy, and overall very pleasant. It great to drink this kind of brew on any occasion because of its simplicity. Simple but great. This beer proves that one beer does not need to be overly complex to be great!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Candied aroma, and some fruit(cherry?) Ruby in colour, medium toffee head, with some lace. Mild treacle flavour, with the expected sweetness. Light bodied for a Dunkel, but tasty. Thanks Radek.

I actually thought this was pretty good, my expectations were low. The color and appearance was dark cola like. Flavor was light malt and slightly sweet. Definately light for a Dunkel. Went well with German food.

My favorite of the Warsteiners. Pretty light for a dark beer, but still maintains a ’darker’ taste.

Quite malty, sweet, with burnt vegetable aftertaste. Light bodied, dark color, tan head. Drinkable.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Medium head. Light flavor. Heavy on the malt and chocolate aroma. Sweet, but not sugary. Perhaps a little weak, but quite delicious.

Tap. Light brown color with a bone colored, wispy head. Light caramel and nutty aroma. Typical caramel flavor without a lot of malt depth. Finishes quite dry and clean with only a bit of bitterness and light acidity.
