3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
January 2010. From bottle. Brown with an offwhite head. Caramel, malt and fruity aromas. Seem a bit light or watery for the style, but not bad at all.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Have had this numbers of times on tap at 28 Springs. This is a good drinkable slight malty session beer for me.

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Taste is roasted malt there is a bready flavor. After those there is standard lager taste and a fair amount of bitterness. Mouth feel to me is thinish to medium. This is a ok beer not one I’ll go out of my way to get. It is dark and carbonation is fair.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Review from notes:
1 liter served in das boot.
A - Clear cola cola brown with 3 fingers of foamy khaki head. Good retention and excellent lacing.
S - Clean toasted grain, sweet dark bread, grassy hops, lager yeast
T - Follows the nose with toasted brown bread, roasted grains, doughy, lightly sweet with hints of dark chocolate, mild grassy hops, nutty lager yeast,
M - Light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation.
I had no problem polishing off a liter of this. A well made Dunkel lager.
Serving type: on-tap

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Skinny Slims. Pours a clear earthy brown with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of earthy bread and grains with a touch of grassiness. Flavor is similar with lots of earthy bread and earthy grains that dominate the beer throughout.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Slight smoke flavor on the initial sip. Already I can say this is my favorite dunkel. Dry, more hops than malt and big smoke presence. Great beer!
