Great for a cheap beer at $6 for a six pack of bottles. Reddish brown when poured into a pint glass. The mouth feel was like Busch but tasted much better.

Bottle. Pours a clear brown body with a one finger frothy off-white head. The nose is pretty decent, it’s pretty clean with some light nuttiness, cocoa, light-roast coffee, and a bit of sweetness. The flavor is a bit thin, slightly sweet nutty, grainy, and husky malt with a chocolate and coffee laced finish. Minimal bitterness on the back end. Light bodied and fizzy with a lingering husky finish. Decent Dunkel, it’s hard to make a super impressive beer In this style.

Love the aroma of roasted barley in this. Dark, rich amber color. Taste of barley not bad, but a little lighter taste than expected. Slight bitter finish. Would pair perfect with brats and other German meats.

On tap (several ’samples’).
Amazing I haven’t rated this beer before given that it was a staple in my beer supply last century before the coming of the craft beer revolution.
With a clear mahogany body and a decent head this is not only good looking, but good tasting as well. That’s a little reassuring given my history with this beer even though, to be honest, this was heavily influenced by price back in the day.
Plenty of toffee and medium malt with enough hops to give this a fairly neutral bitter-sweet balance.
Some darker malts too and just a hint of smoke.

Botella. Dorada. Aroma cereal. En boca resulta refrescante pero con un toque amargo más marcado de lo normal. Bien. Poco más.
