Red-brown, loose cola colored head that falls quickly. Aroma is metallic, caramel, toast, biscuit. Taste is sweet, but still some steel, caramel, light cocoa.

Nov 30, 2009 pours out dark honey gold with a 2 finger thick beige head that was lumpy and frothy. the body is deep maroon brown with a good amount of bubbles rising from the bottom center of the glass. the aromas are faint but is biscuity with notes of dry grass or hay. it is a little yeasty with some toffee notes. the head fell slowly while producing decent lacing along the edges of the glass. it is thin bodied and a little bubbly across the tongue. i taste wheat, lightly roasted malts, a little sugar and a slight hints of chives. the aftertaste is smooth and doesnt last that long or is overpowering. very refreshing and a decent beer to enjoy on a hot summer day.

Pours a medium, off white heaad, of poor duration, with minimal lacing, over a dark brown (SRM 30) clear body....nose is roasted malts with heavy cereal, bit of biscuit....taste is heavy light roasted malts with cereal, slight toffee, caramel....mouth feel is light to medium, carbonation high. This meets the style reasonably.

Nov 19, 2009 Pours a very dark brown with an almost white head. The aroma is roasty, chocolate, lightly hopped and very sweet. The flavor is nice, but a little watery. Light to medium bodied, and on the sweet side. Not the best dunkel, but pretty enjoyable.

Nov 13, 2009 TAP: brown pour, nice off-white head. Aroma is caramel and dark fruit, taste is malty, sweet, bread, hints of fruit. Tasty stuff.

Nov 9, 2009 Another German gem! Had this in a can from the LCBO. Dark brown with an almond head, aroma is of toffee, chocolate and malts. Taste is a bit thin but it has lots of malt and some chocolate highlights. Very nice beer although there are better examples of dunkel to be found.

Nov 6, 2009 bottle thanks to bhensonb. poured a dark brown with a white-off white head. aroma was caramel, grains, chocolate, and a touch of coffee. flavor was coffee, dark roasts, and some coffee bitterness. body was almost medium with almost high carbonation.

Nov 2, 2009 Poured from bottle into Summit glass.
Chestnut brown with moderate white head and nice lacing.
Aroma of cherry, caramel, plum and metallic bitterness.
Cherry, caramel, toast, and metal (although not bitter). Can’t find much else to say about it, which is why this is only average.
Low carbonation with a light almost watery body.
Decent but nothing special. Could use more body or more "something" to counter the average malt profile.
