2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tastes like a slightly stonger version of Coors. Has a bit of an aftertaste but iniatially goes down smooth.

Translucent gold color. Fat head pretty rocky. Smells kinda like wonder bread. Crisp. Very dry finish. Eh.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Re-Rate 10/20/02: A clear light gold color on the pour, the head is mountainous, frothy, long lasting, and the lace gauzy. Nose is malt, clean and crisp. Front is malt, the top reedy, the finish is amazingly hopped for a pilsener, modest carbonation, and a very dry long lasting aftertaste. ’Lagers/Pils, will never be my beer(s) of choice, but this one is drinkable and a nice session beer. Ranks #914 on my current 1000 beer master list.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma light but sweet with floral hop accents. Color a pale gold with medium head. Flavor also features a sweet malt foundation and a well-rounded but mild hop top-end. Body is medium-light--appropriate to the style, and is very smooth. In sum, this is a very restrained offering, and one might want a little more assertive flavor, but the elements and balance here are good---a very decent German export beer.

Head dissapeared and didnt come back. Polished golden hue with a lightly malty slightly uric nose. Delicate malt (white bread) and slight hops. Good for summer drinking.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
This was above average and better than I expected. It’s so available and all over the place, I was expecting a bland macro version of a pils. I liked the amount of hop (noticeable, but not overwhelming), the clean crisp taste and the thinner palate worked for me.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Delicate beers are not my favourites, although I always have a supply of lagers, pilsners and wheat beers in the fridge for when I want something cold. I didn’t expect much of this one - best selling brands tend to be bland - but I was pleasantly surprised. There was a firm malt body and aroma, edging toward that of a watered down Scotch Whiskey. The hops were subtle but quite aromatic in a dusty, summer shower manner. Even though this is a best-seller, it’s a best-seller in a country where Pilsner is highly regarded. If it’s alright with a nation of Pilsner lovers it can’t be that bad.

I must not be a fan of the style. The beer was incredibly crisp but annoyingly dry and grainy. I didnt finish the bottle. but then again i am a southern california hop-head!
