Bottle: pours overly fizzy.Too Champagne- like. Tastes like light beer, watery and overly thin. Wimpy and over carbonated with no maltiness or delecate floral hop presence. This beer screams MACRO.

A international mainstream pour with few things to make it stand out. This is a brew that someone can say they like Ger. brews without ever having one.

Not as good as i was expecting, very small head, pale yellow in color. I did enjoy the flavor, less skunky than a typical pilsner.

NOt very impressive. Pale yellow, thin head. A little skunky, not too good, not too bad. Very ordinary and uninteresting. This was suggested to me by my boss, so I'll tell him it was good, but that's not quite how i feel. No aftertaste.

Pours pale yellow with fizzy white head that leaves quickly. Aroma is nondescript. Flavor is same but with some sweet malt. But basically tastes like big brewery beer without skunk. Not bad, just misleading according to what the label packaging asserts: "Life is too short to drink cheap beer." Replace "cheap" with "mundane" and I would agree.

Was surprised to see it at a nieghbor's holiday party, was happy for the choice. Pours golden, not much of a head. A bit of malt aroma, wheaty? A crisp taste, nothing much to notice, little aftertaste. Not something I'd go out of my way to buy, but grateful it was available next to the Buds & Millers. Drank a few, enjoyable in the setting, but not a beer to savor...

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2003 To me Warsteiner is about solidity. A good product which is amongst the top few big name German pilseners. On draught it is slightly sweeter, whilst in cans, the carbonation is more apparent and it takes on a dryer quality. You could easily drink stacks of this on a night out, and that would be no bad thing.

Although it doesn't stand out like so many other beers, Warsteiner products continue to be one of my favorite session beers.

This is a pretty good beer. It poured with a very nice eggshell white head on a straw colored body with slowly rising bubbles. The head was foamy but left little lace in its wake. Has a nice crisp hop flavor but a bit of an unpleasant earthy aftertaste. Overall I think this is pretty average beer but miles ahead of the more widely consumed Pilsener style beers. If you like Corona or Pacifico then Warsteiner Premium Verum will be a delightful treat. If you like Pilsener Urquell then you will be somewhat disappointed. Still it is a good beer, especially at the $5.29 I paid for a six pack. Goes great with pretzels!
