2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Perfect golden color. Skunk emanes as soon as the bottle is opened, but disappears rather fast. It's obviously not to make room to complex aromas, pretty much only a light cereal nose combined with malt. The taste is so anticipated it's not even funny. no surprises at all: malt, cereals, hops. Actually, more bitterness would have boosted this otherwise just too light and easy beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Color is yellow hay-like with a strong white head about a finger high and stuck around leaving patchy lace. Smell is faint malt and hop, some what skunky but didn't seem to echo in the taste, at least not all together. Taste was crisp and clean, much like a light pilsner. Although it didn't have much malty sweetness, there is a hint of herb-like hop dry bitterness. Has a medium light body feel with a faint malt and drying hop finish, left a little empty and had a small metallic tone. An OK beer but easily overlooked for a reason.

A decent pi;sner to get any Bud drinker on the path to drinking a little better beers. I wouldn't call this a high class beer though.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
March 2001 - Decent. Not as flavorful as I remember it being on tap. Crisp and easy to drink but nothing special.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2008 Billowy white froth; clear straw hue. Sharp fennel and grass hop bouquet over a simple honey and grain malt base. A cutting bitterness throughout is accentuated by the overall dryness. Suitably thin and briskly carbonated with a firm texture.
Pleasantly bittered, accented by the malt structure that may lend some unfortunate astringency.
50 cl bottle, best before 14 May 2009.
Sparkling yellow body with a diminishing white head. Light malt (light bread), moderate hops (grass), light yeast (dough). Moderately sweet, moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Very big for a pils. Creamy mouthfeel. This is one of the better pils I’ve had (stella, urquell). The sweet start and dry finish are interesting.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Slight malt nose. Light colored (2 SRM?). Slight malt flavor with a very lager clean finish. Not a bad beer to have with friends when you all want to get tanked.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
May be a 250 year old German Pilsener recipe but not a classic. Just a fairly average Pilsener. Clean, crisp and shallow.

Not much of an aroma. What was there wasn't appealing. Pours a very light yellow, head weak. Not much in the body, plastic tasting finish. Avoid...
