Brilliant Clear straw in color. Nice nose. I have had this beer a few times and not really cared for it. I am rating it now beacuse I have just had a great one. Full of hop flavor and aroma. It is missing the grassyness of North American attemps at this German lager style (german pils?) Anyhow my advise is givit a few trys you may come across some samples being more fresh than others and taste the difference! Cheers

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2004 A good beer that can be found easily. Lots of wheat taste in this beer. Kind of simple, but good for the price.

Bottle. Poured with a weak head and unappealing color. Not a lot of aroma or flavor. At least it was carbonated. I'm told the label indicates this is the king of beers in German; I would have to agree...it beats Budweiser but just barely.

One of the better beers that I can find in a normal grocery store. Easy to drink with a refreshing amount of carbonation. I enjoyed this more than the ratings on this site made me think it would be.

If I were to choose a macro, this could be it. Clear and light with a white lasting head. Hoppy and malty aroma. Flavor is hoppy, and has a nice malty undertone. As far as light lagers go, this is a decent lawnmower beer, and has some hops to back it up.

Not a great beer to my tastes, but it exceeded the standards set by its appearance. It poured a relatively unattractive yellow, with a somewhat soapy head and what looked like excessive amounts of carbonation. Aroma was hoppy and sweet, but pretty weak. Flavor was surprisingly full, however. Good hoppy edge and a pleasing mellow sweetness. Really easy to drink, and pleasantly carbonated. Not fantastic, but I certainly plan to drink it again, especially when I'm in the mood for a not-too-skunky pilsener that's still light enough to drink easily.

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2005 This pils pours with nice carbonation. large bubbles in the head. Nice hop/malt sweet aroma. The flavor is equally malt sweet/hoppness with a little skunk, even and predictable. Just average.

My brother-in-law introduced this beer to me years ago...Im surprised I have not reviewed it. on pour, pale yellow almost clear, big white head that fads fast.Sightly malty nose. on taste:sweet and malty start, slightly grassy/earthy middles, the finish has some hops, but still mostly malt. light body, nice carbonation,a pretty steady beer.

A nice medium bodied pilsner.A nice yellowish hue with a small head that eventually dissappeared.Had strong tastes of malts with some hoppiness.A good clean finish.Nothing to wow me here, but i have had this before and will again.
