I had this at Global Brew. Pours a clear gold with a white head. Taste slight hop, bitter aftertaste. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 4/20
Typical pilsener in the inoffensive North Rhine-Westphalian style: too little hop, too little malt, watery, hard to distinguish from so many of its kind from the area. Many American lagers find their roots in this style, without exception brewed with something like ’mountain-clear, fresh spring water’, and pretty much tasting like it, too. They do know about marketing, though. Can only be drunk well-chilled or the smell becomes offensive. Tasteless label, too, particularly the ’premium verum’ epithet with its overtones of Catholic mass, and the laughable ’queen among beers’ title it bestows on itself.

Drank a whole 64oz boot of this stuff so I formed a nice relationship with it. Vegetal fruity hoppy notes. Taste is similar and sweet. Effervescent.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear pale body with a moderately lasting white head. Nose has herbs, malts and hay. Taste is dry and crisp with a medium long finish. Carbonation is lively and the palate pleasant. Overall a solid basic beer.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Nice color and clarity, familiar tang of lager beer in the nose; sourdough bread, biscuits, herbal spiciness. Taste was not crisp or bold as i had hoped, rather flabby and bland; some hop flavor coming through. I am a fan of assertive Euro Lagers like Stella Artois, Heineken and Becks, but Warsteiner offered a weak, adjuncty flavor that underwhelmed my palate and did not leave me wanting more.

The only type of Warsteiner I found in my country. Another excellent German beer. It has a strong aroma of hops, full body with a firm blond color. Its flavor is quite bitter with a fuzzy sensation at the beginning. One of the finest beers around.
