3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Surprised to find that this German pils from a fairly large, commercial brewery, is noticeably above average. Adding to the surprise factor, it has a very pale and light body. Excellent clarity.
Nicely balanced and clean yet relatively bold for style.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
50 cl can. As always with pasteurised and filtered beers, itís crystal cleer, 1-finger head, medium carbonation in the glass. Aroma of barley malt and wet cellar. Flavour is thin, hints of some spicy, peppery hops, and wet cardboard. But they all blend in surprisingly well, and make it a drinkable beer, though itís average in every respect of the term.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
A: Clear straw body that is absolutely flush with bubbles. Firm, foamy white head on top.
N: Grain, corn, husk, some white grape, heavy minerality/artesian water. Some white peppercorn. Doughy bread.
T: Sweet and bitter in proportion.
M: Soda-like carbonation is nearly a flaw, light body, no alcohol.
O: Mediocre pilsener. Itís plenty easy to drink, but itís not interesting to do so. Iíd rather have a PBR, in all honesty.
