It pours a straw colored slightly eggshell white body that is transparent. The head disapeared within seconds. It leaves just a tad of white lacing here and there. The smell has some earthy aromatic hops tones, slight malts faintly in the background. The taste is very crisp with a mild tangy hop bite but barely noticed. There is some maltiness on the front but not much. The palate is smooth and good going down. It has a decent carbonation. Overall, this is a good German Pilsener and good for me.

Blassgolden, weisse Schaumkrone.

0,33 l bottle. Redesigned label. Pale golden and very clear in the glass, nearly watery. Longlasting white head. Mash and grain on the nose. Starts grainy, later a little bit bitter. Polished. Typical industrial german Pilsener. Not really bad but also nothing real special.

Sampled from a 50 cl bottle. Bright golden colour with a foamy white head. Aroma of malts. The taste is bready malts which gives away to an assertive, grassy bitterness. A good, fairly typical, pilsner with quite a bitter flavour.

Typical pilsener colour with an aroma of fresh hay. Little flavour beyond the bitterness imparted by a reasonably generous dose of hops. Quite a pleasant palate and a reasonably long finish for a pilsener. A cut above most domestic UK lagers but my tastes lean towards something with a tad more oomph.

Flasche (50 cl) aus einem beliebigen Berliner Supermarkt. - Goldgelb, klar.

Pies yellow and fairly flat, uninteresting pour. Aroma is pretty much just dough. Somewhat redeemed on the flavor, delicious herbal honey. Tasty, but much less hoppy than I would like in a pilsner.

Bottle. Clear golden with small white head. Light malts, slight dry with a touch of dough and light bitter herbal finish. Crisp pilsener with no off-taste and nice light bitterness. Decent enough.
