Nice color and clarity, familiar tang of lager beer in the nose; sourdough bread, biscuits, herbal spiciness. Taste was not crisp or bold as i had hoped, rather flabby and bland; some hop flavor coming through. I am a fan of assertive Euro Lagers like Stella Artois, Heineken and Becks, but Warsteiner offered a weak, adjuncty flavor that underwhelmed my palate and did not leave me wanting more. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bbq & pils, niets mis mee. Lekker fris pilsje, niet bijzonder, maar wel lekker bij warm weer en een heet stuk vlees.

12 oz pour from chilled can into a plastic cup somewhere over the Atlantic on a Lufthansa flight. Totally clear, moderately carbonated, yellow, moderate white head, moderate lacing. Not too much on the nose. Light malts and a bit of a bitter scent. Body is light and crisp. Taste is lightly bready and bitter. Nothing fancy, but an alright straight-forward beer. Iíd typically reach for something more flavorful, but it works with dinner on an eight-hour transatlantic flight.

On tap. Surprised to find that this German pils from a fairly large, commercial brewery, is noticeably above average. Adding to the surprise factor, it has a very pale and light body. Excellent clarity. Nicely balanced and clean yet relatively bold for style.

50 cl can. As always with pasteurised and filtered beers, itís crystal cleer, 1-finger head, medium carbonation in the glass. Aroma of barley malt and wet cellar. Flavour is thin, hints of some spicy, peppery hops, and wet cardboard. But they all blend in surprisingly well, and make it a drinkable beer, though itís average in every respect of the term.

Bottle. A: Clear straw body that is absolutely flush with bubbles. Firm, foamy white head on top. N: Grain, corn, husk, some white grape, heavy minerality/artesian water. Some white peppercorn. Doughy bread. T: Sweet and bitter in proportion. M: Soda-like carbonation is nearly a flaw, light body, no alcohol. O: Mediocre pilsener. Itís plenty easy to drink, but itís not interesting to do so. Iíd rather have a PBR, in all honesty.

Dorata limpida, schiuma bianca di buona persistenza. Ben carbonata, bella coda amaricante erbacea sul finale.

Bottle sample at BEERS 2015, Tel Aviv. Clear and light yellowish with white head. Malty aroma with notes of hay and some flowers. Sweetish malty flavor, notes of hay and hint of nail polish, light bitterness in the finish. Lively carbonation, light to medium-bodied.

Bottle at Lufthansa flight (:-)) Clear yellow color, medium head. Grainy malt and some eathy hops in the nose. Pale malt flavors with some hoppy bitterness, relatively crispy and dry. Light-bodied, smooth. Drinkable.
