Bottle. Pours a pale yellow color. Head nice and fluffy and white in color. Aroma was grainy and malty. Flavor was also grainy and malty but finished bitter. Palate was medium in carbonation. This is advertised as a pilsner, but it is more like a pale lager. That is why I marked this lower than others in the category. I prefer other helles as well so I just wasn’t crazy about it in any case.

0,33l bottle. Too much water, too little taste. Typical industrial beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at The Hollybush, Denford (Thwaites) A clear golden colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of bready malts, straw and some herbal hops. Taste of bready malts, grain, straw, a hint of cardboard and some herbal hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A crisp, herbal hop bitterness in the finish. Decent malty flavours and a refreshing herbal bitterness throughout. Other than that it’s a standard German lager.

Clearly one of the most tasteless Pilseners I’ve ever tried, more like a typical commercial pale lager.

Clear yellow with a white head which diminishes almost completely. Malty bread aroma. Taste is malty too with a nice crispy touch of herbs and citrus. Simple but refreshing. A good brew for a bulk pilsener. (0,33 can, poured in a pilsner glass)

I drank this beer, during my flight from Frankfurt to Beijing. It is an average beer, drinkable and better than the tiger. The body is yellow, gold, regular carbonation, white and thin foam. The taste is malty, some hop and watery, refreshing.

WARSTEINER Premium Verum Taste: Generic, but not bad! I would vote for any Czech beer (generic) like Pilsner Urquell, Budweiser Budvar, Velkopopovický Kozel, Gambrinus, Radegast, Staropramen, Krušovice, Starobrno, Bernard and Svijany. But hey, my local supermarket just recently imported Jever! And I’m from Heineken country! So Warsteiner is my favorite from supermarket. And not bad at all. Real beer is from Czech Republic but I’m not visiting Czech Republic everyday. One has to adjust to the limitations of one’s country. Skĺl!
