Love the olive green bottle. Thats were the love ends and followed by disappointment. This is not a bad beer by any means however it does not excel in any form either. Knowing that it was brewed under at least some form of the Reinheitsgebot eases the mind. However they did not do much with their great ingredients. Pilsner Urquell manages to pack a ton of unique flavor into their brand. This is simply a cold yellow alcoholic drink. Flavor wise it is not with the import over even a Bud Lite. If I were in Warstein, Germany I would have no problem drinking it all day long and would enjoy it. Seeing someone drink this outside of Warstein would cross me as pretentious.

Jul 22, 2008 33 cl can. Pours a pale yellow colour with a white head. The aroma has some grassy hops in it together white some white bread. The flavour has some malty sweetness and some notes of white bread and caramel. Some bitterness in the finish.

Jul 22, 2008 Nice cloudy golden color almost witbier cloudiness with a couple fingers of white head with nice retention. Weak aromas and what is there is typical pils with a bit of skunk. More substantial on the palate but still too typical except for a nice hop bite. Good.

Jul 15, 2008 This is what Bud wants to be. Lightbodied. Medium bitterness. Crisp and clean, beautiful color blonde gold straw. I could drink 6 of these before I realized it was an hour past.

Jul 13, 2008 clear yellow pour, somewhat yeasty/malty smell but rather muted. taste is clean with a little bitter.
