UPDATED: APR 8, 2016 Swill-like appearance with not much head. Some carbonation apparent in glass. Smells like corn and hay. Taste is refreshing, like a domestic but just a little more refined and crisp. No "off" elements. Refreshing palate with just the right amount of carbonation, great for summer. Very good for what it is.

Keg at The Hollybush, Denford (Thwaites) A clear golden colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of bready malts, straw and some herbal hops. Taste of bready malts, grain, straw, a hint of cardboard and some herbal hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A crisp, herbal hop bitterness in the finish. Decent malty flavours and a refreshing herbal bitterness throughout. Other than that itís a standard German lager.

Clearly one of the most tasteless Pilseners Iíve ever tried, more like a typical commercial pale lager.

Clear yellow with a white head which diminishes almost completely. Malty bread aroma. Taste is malty too with a nice crispy touch of herbs and citrus. Simple but refreshing. A good brew for a bulk pilsener. (0,33 can, poured in a pilsner glass)

I drank this beer, during my flight from Frankfurt to Beijing. It is an average beer, drinkable and better than the tiger. The body is yellow, gold, regular carbonation, white and thin foam. The taste is malty, some hop and watery, refreshing.

WARSTEINER Premium Verum Taste: Generic, but not bad! I would vote for any Czech beer (generic) like Pilsner Urquell, Budweiser Budvar, Velkopopovickż Kozel, Gambrinus, Radegast, Staropramen, Kruöovice, Starobrno, Bernard and Svijany. But hey, my local supermarket just recently imported Jever! And Iím from Heineken country! So Warsteiner is my favorite from supermarket. And not bad at all. Real beer is from Czech Republic but Iím not visiting Czech Republic everyday. One has to adjust to the limitations of oneís country. SkŚl!

330 ml bottle. Light yellow clear shiny color, medium big white head . Aroma of barley malt and wet cellar. Flavour is thin, hints of some spicy, peppery hops, and wet cardboard. But they all blend in surprisingly well, and make it a drinkable beer, though itís average in every respect of the term.
