Sample from 50 cl. bottle. Dark golden colour with an off-white head. Light fruity aroma with caramel malts, faint spices and orange peel. Medium sweetness, medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation. Sweet, fruity finish with caramel malts, and an unpleasant burn from alcohol, that spoils this beer a bit for me. Plain.

On tap at Lord Nelson in Copenhagen. It poured a hazy ruby liquid with a minimal dirty white head. Fruity and caramelly malty smell. Malty wineous taste with caramell, sweet.

(Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 18 Feb 2012) Reddish amber colour with brief head. Fruity, malty nose with red berries, caramel and orange peel. Fruity, malty taste with notes of citrus, red berries, hints of cherries and a mild, spicy bitterness. More than medium body, slightly sweet. Well balanced and quite tasty. A bit different, but it kind of grew on me. Nice one.

Biere de Garde Christmas beer without all the usual sweetness as you look at many of the other Christmas beer. Dark bock smell of rye bread. Voted the year’s best Christmas beer in 2009, but by whom? it is a good Biere de Garde but not a Christmas beer in top class.

some fine head, semilasting. cloudy dark golden. Nose with heavy caramel, saaz and little else. Medium body and length. Some sweetness, soft with some light anise and caramel. Dissapointing.

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma medium malty (caramel, light spicy, perfumy). Flavor medium sweet, with some alcohol. Medium body. Interesting.

Tap at Pegasus, Cph: Clear golden beer with a nice frothy white head. Herbal, earthy aroma with some perfumed notes. Medium sweet taste with a warming touch of alcohol leading to a semi-dry, spicey finish with only a little bitterness. Quite full-bodied, very softly carbonated.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a medium off white head. The aroma is fruit, hops, sweet caramel and light spices. The flavour is berries, hops, sweet caramel and some fruit.
