COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
On January 15, 1939 one of the oldest ski resorts in the United States opened. Alta, best known for the it’s low moisture powder and high volumes of annual snowfall has been home to generations of local skiers and a popular destination for powder buffs world wide. To help celebrate Alta’s diamond Jubilee the Utah Brewers Cooperative has created a brand new beer to honor one of Utah’s favorite winter playgrounds. The Alta 75 is a dry-hopped pale ale that delivers a piney, floral and citrus nose with a taste that has a moderate malty base with a big citrusy piny punch.

12oz bottle pours with a clear coppery amber body that supports a tan head of foam. The mild aroma offers up some sweet malts, a bit of malt roastiness, faint sweet nuttiness and a sense of sweet fruity esters. The taste starts with a modest degree of roasted malts and then picks up some mild nuttiness and spiced apple. Meh.

Not a bad brew when you consider it's 4 percent pretty good brew. Malty with light hop. Nice hop aroma clear with a thin head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to snifter (shared with he Mrs.; thanks douglas88). Looks solid; a semi-transparent burnt-orange with thin off-white lacing. Smells of bitter hops and sweet malt. Tastes like it smells, but not as potent, with an average mouthfeel. A decent APA.
