3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Slightly hazy golden brew with a great apricot aroma and flavor. Would be a brew I would purchase again and again for hot summer days but the ABV just kind of killed it. 4% is what I would expect out of a wimpy wheat brew but with the addition of fruit to add to the sugar content I would expect nothing less than 5%. Oh well it is apricot juice with a bit of kick.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle - Dull hazy golden with next to no head. Nose is apricot, bready yeast...and not much else. Pretty one-note. Taste is real minerally, apricot, dry yeastiness, and that’s about it. Thin and watery, with low carbonation. Laughable that this is called a hefe, and even as a fruit beer it’s not all that good. The apricot is nice, but there’s not much else.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
With an odd off putting sour aroma and extremely light color I was prepared for disappointment, yet that only half came true. While it tasted rather nothing like beer it did taste almost exactly like a nice apricot muffin. Once drank all the sour note vanish replaced by what may as well be an apricot cider. Is that good? Not if you want a beer, but if you want something refreshing that is far better than Mike’s Hard Lemonade try it.

Pours a vibrant golden orange. Aromas are nice apricot. Flavors are a bit fruity at first but it finishes very watery.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Wasatch Apricot Hefeweizen has a thick, fluffy, white head, a hazy, golden appearance, streaming bubbles, and a bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is of apricot, tap water, and little bit of wheat. The taste is the same, with a low bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium and somewhat slick. Wasatch Apricot Hefeweizen finishes rather wet, watery, and dull. Overall, this is just average. RJT

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle: Pale yellow color with a soft haziness to it. Just a little ring of white head and leaves very thin sheets; it almost looks like it was frosted. Distinct aroma of the apricots is abundant and overwhelms anything else that may be there. Similar in the taste, but wheat and some of the malts come through. Doesn’t scream hefe at all… fits the fruit beer category well. Mix with Sprite and instant cheerleader beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUN 21, 2015 This isn’t Wasatch’s best effort, but the brewery has proven to be fairly proficient at brewing with fruit. I’ve yet to see a good wheat beer and fruit combination. Typically, the light body created by wheat malt is too easily overwhelmed by fruit juice and any hope of balance is destroyed. This is probably the best execution of the concept that I’ve seen so far. The apricot taste is clear but reserved, sweet but not obnoxious.
