Bottle Pours a clear redish brown. Thin quick light tan head. Malty nuttiness and a smith palate. Quite nice. The 4% ABV is also nice.

12oz bottle - Pours, well, brown with a very thin white head that disappears quickly. Aromas of toasted nuts and leather. WEAK but detectable flavors of an earthy, woody, malted grains...with a soft bitter finish. Not much to rave over. Drinkable, but lacking.

Bobsled Nut Brown Ale has a thin-to-medium, beige head, a fair amount of lacing splotches left on the glass, a very clear, red-brown appearance (although, the website says itís unfiltered), and a few bubbles ascending. The aroma and flavor are muted, but you will pick up some sweet, candy-like toffee in the aroma, and mild, roasted, semi-sweet bread crust and low-level bitterness in the flavor. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Bobsled Nut Brown Ale finishes crisp and plain. No off aromas or flavors, though. RJT

12 oz. bottle from Smithís grocery in Park City, UT. This really does have an aroma of nuts and also a woody component. Crystal clear medium brown/amber body with a light tan head. More nut flavor in the taste long with some vanilla sweetness. This is not a sweet beer like a lot of other nut brown ales. Hops are appropriately subdued but present. Well balanced, full flavored, and right to style. Probably one of the best nut brown ales Iíve had.

"a nice brown ale. kinda light for a winter warmer, but the smooth roasted malty, nutty flavor is pretty pleasant. a touch of hops in the aroma, a bit of caramel and chocolate. not anything new for a brown, but done well."
