Offered from January 15-through May 1st. This ale has the perfect blend of caramel & chocolate malts, which creates a smooth, nutty palate with ample additions of Willamette hops for their spicy aromatics.

Well, a really good beer only comes around every so often. This was a great ale all the way around. Too bad it is seasonal. It was very rich, with just the right bitterness. Nice color, and great finish. This was the best ’brown’ I have ever had, in my humble opinion it knocked ’Newcastle’ right out of the water. I know that is blasphemy for all the Newcastle lovers out there, but tough shit.

Bottle; poured a dark cola brown. Off white head. Very nice aroma. Caramel, cola, cocoa, with a nice sweetness. Flavor similar, but not quite as quality.

12 oz. bottle from Smith’s grocery in Park City, UT. This really does have an aroma of nuts and also a woody component. Crystal clear medium brown/amber body with a light tan head. More nut flavor in the taste long with some vanilla sweetness. This is not a sweet beer like a lot of other nut brown ales. Hops are appropriately subdued but present. Well balanced, full flavored, and right to style. Probably one of the best nut brown ales I’ve had.

Bottle Pours a clear redish brown. Thin quick light tan head. Malty nuttiness and a smith palate. Quite nice. The 4% ABV is also nice.

12 oz bottle. Part of a Wasatch variety pack. I enjoy this more than most widely available brown ales. Nutty malt aroma. Flavor is light hops, malt and chocolate.

Toasty aroma, with some caramel. The toasted character is not as dominant in the flavor; more balanced with biscuit, roasted, caramel, and sweet malt flavors. Some herbal hop flavor.

This is rated as being a session beer. As such it is surprisingly good. A bit bitter. A bit thin but carbonation is used to counter this. Aroma very nice thin fading head. For a low gravity brown pretty good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle courtesy Douglas88. Pours a watery brown with a thin tan head. Big caramel malt, chocolate aroma with a touch of hops. Smooth malt taste with nice notes of chocolate and nuts and a touch of hops. Nice beer.

On cask. Nothing to make this beer stand either way. Smooth and nutty, drinkable enough. Lacks the bitter finish I’d have liked to have had. (#3837, 2/11/2010)

On draft at "A Bar Named Sue." Brown with ruby tones. Small head, dissipated quickly. Toasted malts interlaced with notes of caramel malt. Restrained bitterness. Fruity hop presence. Light in body, and mouthfeel. A great lil’ 4.)% brown ale.
