COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dark, medium bodied ale offers the drink-ability of a much lighter beer. The inviting chocolate and malty flavors fade into a slightly dry, silky smooth finish. Why have just one? 4.0% alcohol by volume. • 2008 Silver Medal Winner, Brown Porter, North American Brewers’ Association • 2008 Silver Medal Winner, Brown Porter, World Beer Cup • 2006 Silver Medal Winner, Brown Porter, North American Brewers’ Association

pours a reddish brown-black with a small tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is of lightly roasted malts, stale coffee, coco, and some metallic notes. Taste is similar with some vanilla and caramel notes. Has a medium-light body with a watery mouthfeel and a mostly sweet moderately short finish. Overall, a below average porter.

A redfisn brown porter with a thin brown head. In aroma, a weird biscuit malt with light boiled veggies. In mouth, a light nutty roasted malt with grassy hops, so-so.

Tough to call it a Porter. I cannot blame Wasatch as Utah has strict ALC % laws. light sweetness

On tap at a restaurant in Springdale, Utah. Pours reddish brown and smells of malt and coffee. Flavor is malt, chocolate, coffee, roast. Quite watery for a porter. Best thing about this is the funny name.

12oz. poured into a Great Divide Shaped pint glass. A - Pours a clear dark brown with 1 finger of khaki head that leaves specks of lacing behind. S - Roasted malts, some metallic/mineral aromas, brown sugar, a little smoke as it warms. T - Roasted malt, bakers chocolate, some watered down coffee. Grassy hops are vaguely present. Finishes nutty and dry with a tiny bit of sourness. M - Light to medium body, smooth texture, soft carbonation. An easy drinking Porter for sure. It’s a little lackluster but could be a nice session. Bottle: Color: Reddish Brown. Aroma: Cocoa and Malt. Flavor: Watery palate / Flavor profile of malt and chocolate on an extremely mild scale. While this beer is on the border of tasty, it is not creamy and thick as it claims. A stronger taste of both elements would have made this more pleasant.
