3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle, courtesy of Dave. Dark brown body, light tan head the resolves to a thin layer. No real lacing to speak of. Nose of coffee grounds, dark malts, chocolate and some oatmeal flakes. Fore of the tongue is highly acidic and biting, rolling to the back does not help much. Flavor profile is sort of weak and watery, as the nose is. Medium bodied, the high carbonation helps here somewhat, but its still lacking something. Finish is watery, medium length and with some notes of coffee and malts. Disappointing, but at least I can say I tried Polygamy.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a reddish-black with a thin, tan head that dissipates quickly. Some lacing. Nose is dark-roasted malt with notes of chocolate. Taste is semi-sweet. A bit thin for me. Lively carbonation. Decent porter.

Bottle to pint glass. Dark brown pour with no head or lacing. Nose is roast, tiny bit of chocolate and not much else. Taste is much the same but with a slight bitterness on the back. Finish is decent. Just okay.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
tap at McStiff’s - I tried polygamy and it was kind of a letdown. The beer pours near black with a small tan head. It has a mild, chocolate led aroma. The flavor is sweet with some roast character and chocolate malt. It’s weak for a porter and rather watery. It’s alright, but a little underwhelming.

Dark brown, medium body. Chocolate, malty flavors. Smooth. Not a huge fan of porters, but this one isn’t bad

Tap pour @ Owl Bar. Dark mahogany in glass. Thin head. Medium nose. Toasted malts, implacable nuttiness, wet stone and hints of mocha. Taste is more neutral. Chalk, vague ash, dried plums, and basic coca. Very smooth, if not that interesting. Good.
