mikey (319), farmington, Utah, USA Apr 30, 2008 Poured an opaque black with a thick, mountainous, tan head. The nose was of toasted grain, chocolate and espresso. The taste started malty with hints of coffee and burnt chocolate, while the end had a slight hop spiciness. The finish brings more burnt, bitter notes. Tried this from the cask without refrigeration. NIce and dry like a desert bone. A nicely done Stout.
bu11zeye (3572), Frisco, Texas, USA Mar 17, 2004 (Draught) Pours a thick black color with a medium-sized creamy tan head. Has flavors of chocolate, coffee, and caramel. BückDich (4497), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 20, 2003 Cask Conditioned: Dark black with litte head. Hand pumped and served at room temp. Smokey oak flavor, light notes of coffee and a strange absence of chocolate as I assumed would be here. Bitter salty finish made it hard to drink. P-tor44 (887), Anchorage, Alaska, USA Feb 23, 2002 This is a full strength Utah beer. Not much on the nose, a nice coffee taste balanced with some unsweetened chocolate. Nice Dry stout without much hop presence. Got this at the Brewery, big fan of the scene up in Park City. BOOO Plad Pants!
