A yeasty dark strong lager with noticeably unclean fermentation: metal, mold, higher alcohols, dark caramel malt, cola, plum and apple hooch, vegetables / canned corn / DMS. Solvent and oily alcohol on the palate. Sweet and chalky with a limp, watery body. Shamefully bad!

Pours a light brown color with an aroma of dark fruit, toffee, and bread. Dark fruit sweet flavor with toffee and bread. Light body and slightly weak flavor as a result. Good beer nonetheless.

Clear dark amber with a foamy off-beige head. The aroma is sweet and dark with chewy doughiness and toast. The flavor is just as bready and toast, with a lager-biscuitiness, dark sweet grain malts, and toasted muffin.

AirForceHops (3298) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 22, 2013
12 oz. bottle. Born on date of 4/13/2013. Dark copper color with fast vanishing white head. Aroma is malts, dark fruits, syrupy chocolate, and a touch of earth. Mouth feel is on the lighter side (very thin) Soft steady carbonation. Flavors are good yet not as good as the true German Dopplebocks. Still all in all, very drinkable and true to the style.

Deep copper, clear, beige head. Aroma of bready Munich malt, a little toffee sweetness, a little malt-driven dark fruit aroma. Flavor: bread crusts, toffee, toasty notes, some brown sugar, moderate bitterness.

UncleKorm (850) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - NOV 10, 2013
Bottle poured a clear reddish-brown hue w/ medium white head fully diminishing and nice lacing. Moderate sweet malty aromas. Initial flavor is bold sweet and a light bitter finish. Tastes are brown sugar, toasted malt, and toast. Medium bodied, avg carbonation, syrupy mouthfeel, and sweet w/ some warmth in the finish but not enough to cut thru the sweetness. It is a beer soda pop.

Draft. Ruby-mahogany beer with a dark cream head. Rich malt and light dark fruit aroma. Rich malt and caramel flavor with toffee and light dark fruit. Medium bodied. Caramel/toffee lingers with dark fruit and light mineral notes.

Solid double bock. Nice and malty without being sweet. Best Wasatch beer by far. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bronze, clear. Filmy white head. Cereal aroma with dark syrump. Sweet, mossy astringency, a little tinny - true to style. Malt, lotsa malt. Slightly heavy mouth. Woody/mossy finish with cherry tones. Hay Merchant, Houston, on tap.

Bottle from AJ’s fine foods Scottsdale. Pours brown with no head to speak of. Not much on the nose. A bit of malty sweetness on the tongue. Hides the alcohol well. Eh!
