Pleasant sweet aroma, almost of raspberries, with a slight floral hop aroma. Pours with thin off-white head. Redish copper in color. Very sweet, but not malty. Very strong sweet corn taste. When held on pallet to warm, provides a very subtle hop bitterness. Very smooth on the pallet, perhaps slightly under carbonated. Overall a good beer if served cold, but if warmed it presents some off flavors.

Pours a deep auburn red with a foamy head. Aromas caramel, slight toffee, slight smoked caramel and grain. Flavors medium caramel, slight toffee, hay and mild grain. Medium sweet. Decent but forgetable.

Transfer from BA review on 6-8-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a deep brown/mahogany color with a one finger tan colored head. The head fades relatively quickly leaving a light level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is bready and of a darker fruit aroma. The darker fruits are mainly of raisin and prune but have some cherry in there as well. With these aromas there is also a light boozy smell of a more rum like aroma. Taste – The taste begins bready and sweet with a whole lot of dark fruit flavors upfront. Raisin and prune are the most prevalent of the sweet with some lighter caramel and toffee flavor coming to the tongue more toward the middle. Along with the sweet, so too comes some flavors of a light spice and some yeast as well. Toward the end a boozy flavor develops on the tongue leaving a sweet and warming feel to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the slightly thicker side with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. Both are good for the slightly sweeter and fruity flavors of the brew as well as the lighter boozy flavors. Overall - .A sweeter and rather pleasantly fruity tasting dopplebock. It was rather enjoyable overall and one to try if you get the chance.

Clear deep red - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Rich malts, creamy with a little unsweet toffee. Mild molasses. Light smooth finish. Not much else here but certainly delivers the malts!

Bottle from GBBF 2014. Poured a dark, clear ruby with a halo of white head. Aroma of berries, malt, peal and dates. Smooth mouth feel. Rye bread in the flavour, with some satsuma, raisin and grain. Finish was toffee, roasted malt and dark fruit.

Bottled 355ml. -Finally! The most expected beers have arrived! Well, the story goes like this - my friend "Dragan the Drot" went to live to USA, Salt Lake City, so I’ve asked him to bring me some Wasatch beers when he would come to visit Croatia. So, he came here some four years ago, but have brought no beers. Then, a week later, his girlfriend came too, and he said she was bringing the beers. But, again no beers - they said she was thirsty and drank them while waiting for plane to catch....hmm?! Some time after that, he has sent a package - I though this is it, but no, he has sent a bottle of tequilla! (very good tequila but never mind). And now, after six years of waiting, my friend has come to visit again and this time he has brought a bunch of Wasatchs beers plus one Squatters! Heeeellll Yeaaahhhh!!!
Now something about beer itself...Clear amber coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, low carbonation, pure caramel in rather dusty nose. Toasted malt, caramel, light fruity, bready hoppy and slight alcoholic with some nutty notes in the sweetish finish. Funny memorandum on back label.

Las Vegas, NV - Smith’s Food & Drugs - 12 oz bottle. Pours a murky dark orange, sticky off-white head that leaves plenty of sticky lacing. Aroma has some sweet molasses, a touch of light bubble gum. Flavor is smooth and warming with some light bubble gum accents, a touch of light dates, some hints of maple syrup and a touch of maple syrup. Mouthfeel is smooth and warming. Nice nightcap after a long day of hiking in Zion.

In Park City, UT. Light brown color with minimal head. Funky nose - not all that pleasant. Bready, caramel, malt, somewhat sweet. Alcohol hidden very well. Tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: Deep amber in color with a minimal beige head. Nose is sweet, but lightly earthy and floral. It’s got a great creamy feel and some solid caramel and bready notes, bananas, and lightly spiced. A little of that earthiness from the aroma comes through in the taste, it reminds me of rye bread. At 8% its hard to imagine drinking through a bunch of these, but I’ll gladly buy it again.

Dark amber with an off white head. Aromas caramel, toasted malts. Not really my style, but much better than the last double bock I tried.
