3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: Kind of a mix of charred bread and charred meat, it smells of grain and fire
Appearance: Deep brown almost red with very red tinges when held to light.
Taste: Sweet yet savory slightly smokey with heavy notes of coffee and chocolate. Floral yet not hoppy floral more like orange flower watter or just Orange Juice if you have not had that, springy and sharp aftertaste.
Palate: Slightly thick but all in all average
Overall: Unique, the smokey hardy sweetness says "pair me with BBQ" and I agree. Still all in all nice balance and yeah I would buy this again.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Head is initially small, fizzy/frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium to dark brown.
Aroma is lightly malty (caramel, molasses), with a note of brown sugar.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, syrupy texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
Well, obviously zero effort went into this...it just smells like sugar water, like Coke more or less. Syrupy sweet in the mouth, again like soda (with alcohol added). Might as well be put in the American Dark category, ’cause it’s a long, long way from an actual German Doppelbock.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A yeasty dark strong lager with noticeably unclean fermentation: metal, mold, higher alcohols, dark caramel malt, cola, plum and apple hooch, vegetables / canned corn / DMS. Solvent and oily alcohol on the palate. Sweet and chalky with a limp, watery body. Shamefully bad!
