Brilliantly clear, light gold in appearance. Aroma and flavor has a complex grainy cereal profile. Some bread yeast in the aroma as well. Nice alcohol warming finish, slightly creamy, medium body. Fantastic beer.

Pours a pear color with a huge white head of suds. Lots of bubbly carbonation. Nose is a spice floral bouquet. Very creamy and soft on the palate. Sweet flavor of bread, coriander and citrus. Finish soft-no bitterness. Very quaffable brew that pairs well with nuts or finger sandwiches.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. This is very coriander heavy, perfumy, slight citrus, doughy. What a mess, no balance at all.

Not one of my favorite styles, but still decent. A good wheat beer, and at least the spice flavors aren’t overwhelming. to me.

Pours to a really pale yellow body with lots of carbonation and a thin creamy white head. The aroma seemed to have a lot of Saaz hops. Some light coriander and yeast. The flavor is pretty much the same. Saaz are apparent, but then subtle coriander and wheat. Almost like it is a blend of a white ale and a pilsner.
4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Strilo (63) - Oregon, USA - JUL 29, 2012
Best Wit of the OBF. Light and drinkable for the summer. Nice slightly Belgian character to the front end. Finishes nicely with a hint of wheat.

Poured into a pint glass.
3.0 A: Lightly hazed medium yellow color. One and a half fingers of pillowy white head. Retention is about average and a short ring of lacing is left. There’s a great deal of yeasties floating about throughout.
4.0 S: Wonderful nose on this. Pepper, clove, and corriander spiciness. Clean neutral malts. Light hay with grassy hops.
4.0 T: This is just how I like my wits. Big spiciness of pepper and corriander with clove picking up the rear. Clean malts with a light yeastiness.
4.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation with a light spritziness. Superbly smooth. The yeasties don’t effect the feel.
4.0 D: Solid all around. I wouldn’t mind another.

Bottle. Clove and spice on the nose. Poured a clear pale yellow color with a tiny white top that didn’t linger, also no lacing; yawn. Taste was packed with coriander, orange peel, citrus, and with a subtle spice finish. Easy to drink, and left a pleasant taste on the palate.

From bottle. Pours a clear straw color with almost no head and no lacing. Smells of spices and yeast. I enjoyed the spiced taste to it but overall it left me wanting more.
