COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wasatch Winterfest is a rich amber ale with caramel malt flavors and a large hop presence. Brewed with the finest Northwestern pale and caramel malts then generously hopped with Columbus and Amarillo hops. Crafted in the spirit and style of the Sierra Nevada Celebration. Inspiration? "This new seasonal was brewed to warm you through the cold winter months! Our Winterfest Ale makes a wonderful compliment to an epic day on the mountain, and the perfect companion around the fire. It’s our toast to Utah."

12oz bottle poured into a Snifter at 41°. Colo is a dark mahogany with good carbonation and a soft and tight tan head. Aroma is sweet with notes of dried fruit. It has a medium body with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor is mild dried fruit, a touch of peppery malt and a spicy hop note that gives it a mellow bitterness. Overall its a good brew and somehow it has a winter like feel.

Pours a dark reddish brown color with a medium sized creamy off white head. Malt with heavy brown sugar, and orange citrus hops. Bit off balance

Brown pour with a citrus aroma. If a brown ipa was ever a style, this would be the winter version. Hop, carmel sweetness, and a underlying spice flavor rounds this out. Different, not exactly the amount of hops I would expect in a winter brew, but it was done well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle form Supermarket Liquors. Appearance: finger of tan head, copper to blood red color, clear, good lacing. Aroma: caramel, light fruity malt, light spicy hops and grassy hops. Palate: average carbonation, light sticky texture, medium body, very smooth. Taste: sweet malty caramel into fruity malt with light spicy and grassy hops that balance out the sweetness. Overall, pretty good beer, a pleasant surprise. Pretty complex and subtle simultaneously.

Brown brew with a thick head that holds a while. Smells of herbal hops. Taste is citrus, herbs and spice. Pretty much like an APA but with a small hint at some caramel malts. Easy drinking with a slightly bitter finish. Good stuff and they did a good job of going after something that is like Sierra Nevada Celebration. Now if they would make it cost the same that would make it perfect.

Tap at Busters in South Mpls. Pint glass. Strong amber color with impressive lacing. Malty sweetness in the aroma. Some subtle hop notes. Taste emphasizes the hops with malts sticking around to say hello. Some good spiciness as the flavor develops. Finish is mostly hops but enjoyable. I’ll be the first one down to try it again.

From 12 oz. bottle. A little scent of caramel, nuttiness, spruce, and faint citrus. Amber/Copper color with thin tan head and medium lacing. Lightly bitter and slightly acidic feel to the palate with a stinging feeling for about a minute after taste continuing to a and hop resin finale. A very thin texture with little carbonation. Overall the First One Down wouldn’t be my last one I would drink!
