Wasatch Winterfest is a rich amber ale with caramel malt flavors and a large hop presence. Brewed with the finest Northwestern pale and caramel malts then generously hopped with Columbus and Amarillo hops. Crafted in the spirit and style of the Sierra Nevada Celebration. Inspiration? "This new seasonal was brewed to warm you through the cold winter months! Our Winterfest Ale makes a wonderful compliment to an epic day on the mountain, and the perfect companion around the fire. It’s our toast to Utah."

Pours a burnt red color with a lasting white head. Aroma of pine and citrus hops, spice and roasted caramel malt. Flavor is much the same, big malt starts it off with the spice and a buttload of hoppiness coming in later. Very tasty stuff.

multiple bottles via superdave70... still the best thing to come from utah!

pours a rich amber coppery color when i am not swigging straight from the bottle! it has a small off white head which is still there when i finish it off. the aroma is really leafy... bitter pine and green hops with caramel, malt, earth and a pepper/seed-like warmth. the flavor is quite malty with some nutty caramel and orange rind upfront. mid palate and on the dry finish it is full of an earthy spice and hops!.... pine-y, grassy, bitter and green delicious hoppiness. rather like a dark ipa. alcohol and bitterness thin out the mouth feel to make it insanely sessionable (especially @ 7.1%). 8/4/7/4/16/3.9

12oz bottle thanks to Douglas88. Pours a nice mahogany with a nice tan head, great retention and lacing. Aromas of caramel, biscuits, light chocolate, and toasted malts. Flavors are sweet malts up front, with some spice, nutty flavors, and a nice hoppy finish. Decent beer, I could surely drink more of. Thanks again Douglas.

Sampled at the bockyhorsey tasting courtesy of hellbilly I believe. Thanks! Pours a chestnut brown with minimal head. Aroma contains a double-IPA amount of citrus hops. Taste is very very hoppy with a nice complimenting of nutmeg/cinnamon/caramel. Very bitter/bubbly/spicy on the palate. A very interesting beer.

From the bottle pours a clear, ruby-red colored body with a moderate, creamy, beige colored head. Tattered, ribbony sheets of delicate lacing line the glass. The nose shows like a hoppy red ale. The malt base shows caramel, toasted biscuit, and hints of cocoa. Substantial pine resin and orange peel hoppiness counters, balancing the aroma quite nicely. The flavor follows suit, aggressively hopped with resinous pine and sharp citrus rind, yet completely balanced by toasty, crystal malts and hints of milk chocolate. Mild winter spices lend an earthy overtone. Medium-plus on the palate, dry, and slightly alcoholic, this brew feels every bit its 7.1%, and then some. Pretty decent overall, this isn’t really anything to get excited about....although if I lived in Utah, this one might be a consistent wintertime go-to.

Nice head and lacing, clear dark amber color. Smells of hops, citrus, ligh malt. Taste is of carmel, malt, hops, citrus. This is a very good session beer. Reminds me of a light Arrogant Bastard.

Not the largest fan of the variety, but this beer surprised me. Crisp flavor. Hops nice and smooth to the tongue.
