12oz bottle pours a clear copper amber with some lacing, off white head. Nose is very muddled, sweet, some brown sugar, some cake icing, some spice, some raisin, some root veg. Flavor is also muddled, sweet and astringent, a little sweet tea, some Splenda, dried apple slices. Slightly tannic finish. All over the place.

Bottle from Utah Liquor Store. Pours brown with an inch of khaki foam. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. A slight pine note on the tongue. Not much on the tongue. Finishes clean. Really quite boring.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark amber pour with red highlights and a lasting light doe head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is light faded hops, caramel, brown sugar, some vanilla, with dark fruit throughout. Flavor is much more dark fruit dominant, with some aromatic malts coming through. Really wasn’t expecting the malt character out of this beer seeing the pour, but was pleasantly surprised. A bit of oxidized hops on the finish rounds things out nicely, without being too flat or papery. Nice beer.
