COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wasatch Winterfest is a rich amber ale with caramel malt flavors and a large hop presence. Brewed with the finest Northwestern pale and caramel malts then generously hopped with Columbus and Amarillo hops. Crafted in the spirit and style of the Sierra Nevada Celebration. Inspiration? "This new seasonal was brewed to warm you through the cold winter months! Our Winterfest Ale makes a wonderful compliment to an epic day on the mountain, and the perfect companion around the fire. It’s our toast to Utah."

Bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.; thanks douglas88). Looks good; a semi-transparent amber with off-white lacing. Smells and tastes sweet, malty, and hoppy with a touch of caramel and booziness. Good on the palate. Good beer!

Pours mahogany with a tan head. Aroma is citrus, pine, bready and slightly roasty malts, and hints of fruit. Tastes of pine, caramel, bread, and fruit. Nice and smooth with moderate hop bitterness. The flavors in this reminded me of a barleywine.

Bottle from Bandits on Main Street in Park City. Nice caramel color. This beer took me by surprise. Great spices and complex taste. Reminded me of a barely wine actually. Carbonation was low with thick mouthfeel. Malt, spices and hops made this complex but balanced beer

Nice and caramel, with a rich frothy head and a subtle mouthfeel. A great winter beer in the celebration style. Light on hops, rich in malts and best paired with a fire, a book, and a warm blanket during a snow storm. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark brown with orange hues and a small off white head. Nose is caramel, pine, spices like cloves, sage and cinnamon with molasses. The taste is well balanced sweet and bitter. The mouthfeel is crisp and clean, the body is medium and the finish is long. Very good, I didn’t expect it to be this good.

Pours a deep amber with a thick body and a nice off-white head. Nose is pruny hops with a light raspberry syrup kick. Flavor is a rush of prune, hops and strawberry with finish of nutty wood syrup. Lingering mouthfeel. Tasty.

Caramel malt, with Orange-ish fruity, spicy, and "dank" hops. Bitter aftertaste.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2012 Deep copper, clear, tan head. Aroma of bready malt, toffee, light chocolate, spicy and resiny hops with a hint of grassiness (this is a 2012, seems hoppier than prior years). Flavor is similar with resiny-piney hops, underlying malt of bread crusts, toffee, light chocolate. Medium-full bodied. Great winter warmer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
