COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wasatch Winterfest is a rich amber ale with caramel malt flavors and a large hop presence. Brewed with the finest Northwestern pale and caramel malts then generously hopped with Columbus and Amarillo hops. Crafted in the spirit and style of the Sierra Nevada Celebration. Inspiration? "This new seasonal was brewed to warm you through the cold winter months! Our Winterfest Ale makes a wonderful compliment to an epic day on the mountain, and the perfect companion around the fire. It’s our toast to Utah."

The beer pours a reddish-brown color with a tan head. The aroma is very malty with some caramel and toffee notes. There is also some dark fruit and quite a bit of alcohol, which is kind of surprising since the beer is only 7 percent. The flavor is hoppier than the aroma. I get some pine and grass notes from the hops and also some toffee and caramel malt. There is also some dark cherry in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. While there is quite a bit going on, the flavors don’t really seem to meld all that well together and as a result, the beer falls a bit short.

12oz bottle pours a clear copper amber with some lacing, off white head. Nose is very muddled, sweet, some brown sugar, some cake icing, some spice, some raisin, some root veg. Flavor is also muddled, sweet and astringent, a little sweet tea, some Splenda, dried apple slices. Slightly tannic finish. All over the place.

Tap @ Kahootz: Brown with tan head and spotty lacing. Aroma of furniture polish with a sour, musty flavor and maybe some figs thrown in for good measure. It’s ok, not my favorite for a strong ale.

12oz bottle. Reddish brown pour with a decent amount of off-white head. Diggin’ the aroma - nice balance of citrus/pine hops and caramel malt. Flavor is balanced as well but a bit disappointing - slightly sweet and bitter.

A-pours a dark mahogony colored beer with a very loose small bubbly tan colored head. S-the nose has some roasted malts, a little overly sweet caramel, very sticky hop resign aroma, pine sap, wood, oily citrus in the back. T-the taste is similar, slightly burnt wood and malt, overly sweet caramel, very resignous, lots of sugars left behind and it shows in the feel as well. very piney in the back with sticky citrus notes and moderately bitter. M-the feel is a little fuzzy with the residual sugars, the finish is nice, it is rather dry and crisp, well carbonated. D-not bad, has some flaws. overly sugary and sweet with a ton of sticky malts and hops. has a decent balance and a nice finish.

This poured a darker amber to brown color with a beige head. Aroma was nutty, and caramel/toffee malt, and soem light grassy andpiney hops. Flavor was very light pijne, chewy nuggat and toffee, and soem dark fruits. Definitely not like celebration at all.

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Dark copper color. Smells spicy. Sweet winter pine and potpourri. Taste has a fair amount of spice with the hot finish of spice. Dries a bit on the finish but altogether not bad.

Poured a deep, dark brown with a wispy head. No where near the profile of a SN Celebration, so I don’t even knwo why they refrence that in the CD.
