COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wasatch Winterfest is a rich amber ale with caramel malt flavors and a large hop presence. Brewed with the finest Northwestern pale and caramel malts then generously hopped with Columbus and Amarillo hops. Crafted in the spirit and style of the Sierra Nevada Celebration. Inspiration? "This new seasonal was brewed to warm you through the cold winter months! Our Winterfest Ale makes a wonderful compliment to an epic day on the mountain, and the perfect companion around the fire. It’s our toast to Utah."

Pours a deep amber with a thick body and a nice off-white head. Nose is pruny hops with a light raspberry syrup kick. Flavor is a rush of prune, hops and strawberry with finish of nutty wood syrup. Lingering mouthfeel. Tasty.

Nice and caramel, with a rich frothy head and a subtle mouthfeel. A great winter beer in the celebration style. Light on hops, rich in malts and best paired with a fire, a book, and a warm blanket during a snow storm. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours mahogany with a tan head. Aroma is citrus, pine, bready and slightly roasty malts, and hints of fruit. Tastes of pine, caramel, bread, and fruit. Nice and smooth with moderate hop bitterness. The flavors in this reminded me of a barleywine.

From the bottle pours a clear, ruby-red colored body with a moderate, creamy, beige colored head. Tattered, ribbony sheets of delicate lacing line the glass. The nose shows like a hoppy red ale. The malt base shows caramel, toasted biscuit, and hints of cocoa. Substantial pine resin and orange peel hoppiness counters, balancing the aroma quite nicely. The flavor follows suit, aggressively hopped with resinous pine and sharp citrus rind, yet completely balanced by toasty, crystal malts and hints of milk chocolate. Mild winter spices lend an earthy overtone. Medium-plus on the palate, dry, and slightly alcoholic, this brew feels every bit its 7.1%, and then some. Pretty decent overall, this isn’t really anything to get excited about....although if I lived in Utah, this one might be a consistent wintertime go-to.

Sampled at the bockyhorsey tasting courtesy of hellbilly I believe. Thanks! Pours a chestnut brown with minimal head. Aroma contains a double-IPA amount of citrus hops. Taste is very very hoppy with a nice complimenting of nutmeg/cinnamon/caramel. Very bitter/bubbly/spicy on the palate. A very interesting beer.

12oz bottle thanks to Douglas88. Pours a nice mahogany with a nice tan head, great retention and lacing. Aromas of caramel, biscuits, light chocolate, and toasted malts. Flavors are sweet malts up front, with some spice, nutty flavors, and a nice hoppy finish. Decent beer, I could surely drink more of. Thanks again Douglas.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a tan head and a brown body. Aroma of raisins, chamomile tea and honey. Must have been a old bottle as there were not a large amount of hops...at all. Taste was sweet with caramel and a bit tea like. Medium bubbles.
