Maria (10136) - Thisted, DENMARK - FEB 24, 2012
It’s beautiful, clear, red mahogany and the aroma has notes of caramel, nuts and roasted malt. The sweet flavor is quite full bodied with full notes of caramel, hints of salty licorice, roasted malt, nuts and I find it very well balanceand nice.

Koelschtrinker (10504) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 4, 2011
CO2-armer Antrunk, cremig (dunkel-) malzig, leicht alkoholisch. Test vom 8.4.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 4,8,9,9,13,9 - 8,55

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2010 GERMAN BEER #2000 bottle, Dank an pivnizub! Deep brown colour, nearly black, with an aroma of chocolate. Intensively malty with a nice roasty character, lots of chocolate, caramel and raisins. Low carbonation, pleasant on the palate. A fine brew.

(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a small beige foamy head. Sweet toasty malty aroma with caramel, molasses and dried fruits. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly syrupy and roasty malty taste with caramel; sweet and slightly roasty bitter finish with a lasting aftertaste full of caramel/toffee. Not very complex but clean and easy going DB. 05.X.09

pivnizub (8800) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - AUG 31, 2009
Bottle: Deep ruby-amber coloured, quickly collapsing fluffy off-white head; quite restrained nose of toasted malt, molasses; a bit sticky, medium to full bodied, moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour; "thick" sweet finish with a detectable dash of toasted malt, followed by a light but increasing bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad, but a bit simple........
