vw_steggie (684), Paxton, Massachusetts, USA May 26, 2004 Art of Beer Festival 2004: Has an amber color and a small white head. Smell is sweet. Taste is of sweet malts and finishes slightly bitter. Overall a pretty good bock. DrGonzo (624), Somerville, Massachusetts, USA May 9, 2004 Pours golden brown. My notes are a little hazy (as was I at this point of the fest). This is a solid, mostly true to style bock, malty with a dry finish. Didn’t quite hold up to some bigger bodied American bock cousins, but good nonetheless. goz (359), Chelmsford, Massachusetts, USA Jun 12, 2003 Pour is a medium amber, with small white head, small bits of lace cling to the glass. Aroma is sweet, malty, and mild hops in the background. Flavor is sweet to start (honey, caramel), middle had a bit of tanginess to it (reminded me somewhat of banana, but with a slightly off flavor to them), ends with some hoppiness. Medium-full body, drinks very easy for the 7.4%.
