3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20Tap at the brewpub. Dark brown, cloudy beer. Aroma is dominated by chocolate, chicory, and light herbal hops. Nice chocolatey flavour with a touch of smokiness, faint coffee. Chewy malts, a bit astringent toward the finish. Herbal hop bitterness toward the finish as well.

Tap: Vanilla and plum, light cherries. Dark brown color. The nose is sweet and caramelly, light roast, too much bitterness and no umami. Back to the drawing board I declare!

Tried a full pint while at Strange Brewfest at Water Street Brewing in Port Townsend, WA. I found this to be pretty bland...faint chocolate flavor and pretty light for a porter.

Near black colour. The aroma is mainly chocolatey. The flavour has a strong chocolate influence as well, with a solid hoppy accent kicking in as well. Im okay with that. Fairly full body has it drinking like a stout.
