200 pounds of fresh raspberries are added to our traditional weiss beer, resulting in a deep red brew with real raspberry flavor.

On-tap, this pours a reddish color with pink head. The aroma is tart with raspberries and hints of wheat. The taste is sweet and tart, the raspberries really come through. A decent brew, much better than the rating would suggest.

Draft at the downtown brewery in Milwaukee. Cloudy, reddish color. Raspberry aroma. Tart, raspberry flavor. Watery mouthfeel. Dry finish. Seems to be a brew that is caught between being a traditional beer with a hint of fruit and a full-fledged fruit beer; this doesn't quite work. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at the source. From notes. Sweet and tart with loads of raspberry. Not exactly my style, but very good.

On tap and dispensed to a weizen glass at the Grafton location, showing a cloudy, reddish amber color, with white head foam that quickly diminished to a thin ring, and spots of lacing. The aroma was light grain/wheat, some acidity, subtle spice, but no noticeable phenols due to a dominant raspberry puree scent. The taste was similar notes, with a light body, effervescence that seemed to wane by mid serving, but tartness & fruit that remained to the finish.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2013 Tasted on tap at Water Street Brewery. Light orange that’s a but pinkish. A light fruity aroma with a bitter raspberry taste. Definitely not my thing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at the Grafton brewery. Comes out a freakishly pink hot mess, just crazy looking Hawaiian Punch-like. Aroma is all fruit, and the taste is, well, sugary sweet thin and cloying. No weiss beer resemblance here at all. What were they thinking with this one.

Draft at Water Street. Pours a deep and hazy pinkish red with a pink head. Nose is straight raspberries, real and very clean. On tasting, the raspberries come through, light tartness and some sweetness. Crisp and clean. THe hefe works well here as well. Superb fruit beer.

On tap at the downtown brewery. Pours a terrific looking pinkish red-orange, like a very interesting juice blend, with a fine white head. Not a color I have ever seen in a brew. Aroma has raspberries upon raspberries. Some grain and some fresh fruit as well. Taste has pine, tart fruits and bread. Quite earthy and very fruity. There is sweetness, but the tart is the main player. Finishes short and tartly sweet. A surprisingly interesting brew which, despite the tartness, was quite drinkable.

On tap at Water Street Milwaukee. Pink-gold with a decent sized white head that is mostly lasting. Raspberry aroma with some watermelon rind. Moderately sweet, lightly tart flavor with an almost oaky aftertaste.
