2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
it pours a dark golden orange with an off white head which leaves little lacing. There are faint smells of caramel and citrus. There are caramel tastes with a tinge of bite. The bite comes from a pine taste. It lacks the full range of IPA flavors.

1.4 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Buttery aroma, but a lovely color. It’s really not worth the effort to rate. It did have some hop bitterness.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Had it in a bottle. The nose is alil hoppy, with a malty sweetness with a piney hop. Taste is acidic. Didnt like it all too much.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12oz bottle from a Hannaford Supermarket in Kennebunk, ME. An amber pour with a thin layer of cream froth; malty aroma with some resinous hops; soft in the mouth with little bite from the hops and a sweet malty body; the hops do appear towards the end to impart a twiggy bitterness.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle This was a new beer on the Food Lion shelves that I thought would be worth a try. A bit disappointing. The ale lacks the normal complexity of an IPA. The IPA poured a clear amber with white head and modest lacing. There is a taste of citrus and resin but almost artifical. The ale also has a malty sweetness with a thin body and only average carbonation. The finish was metalic like with some bitterness in the lower mouth.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nov. 9, 2013; 12 oz. bottle from Hannafords Market, Clinton, NY. At a blowout supermarket price of $6.99, it seemed like a no-brainer to take a chance on this six-pack from a reputable brewer. With a lovely dark amber color, ample head & lacing, this brew looks a lot better than it tastes. Faint, grassy aroma. The hops are sharp & metallic, with little to even it out and make it work as an IPA. Just something "off" with this recipe. Can’t recommend it at this time.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. It has an attractive looking mahogany brown tone with a short-lived off-white head. The aroma is malty, sweet and earthy all at once. Light to medium body. The taste emphasizes the earthy hop character over the malts but they are both there. Waterfront beers are brewed by Shipyard fro grocery store distribution and specifically for the Hannaford chain of Northern New England. Does that make it bad? Not at all. Does that make it good? I would define it as typical for the style. Easy enough to drink and reasonably cheap.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz Bottle. The pour was a cloudy reddish amber with an average (1-2 finger) off white frothy head that was mostly lasting and reduced slowly, down to a thin cap and medium collar with really good streaky lacing.
The aroma was of a mild grain malt, pine and citrus hops and a soapy yeast with a touch of caramel and citrus (grapefruit).
The taste was very lightly malty with a mild caramel sweetness in the beginning, and then became moderately hoppy with a decent citrus peel bitterness towards the end. The flavor lasted a bit longer than average following the swallow, with a light citrus peel bitterness lying on the taste buds only for a short time.
Mouthfeel was just beyond light in body and mildly dry in texture with a medium carbonation.
Overall this was an IPA that I found to be almost average in taste. Although it was mildly hoppy with a light sweetness and a decent balance, it still was not what I would call a very enticing brew... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews
