This traditional Belgian beer finds its origin in 1815 at the time of the battle of Waterloo. Its old fashioned brewing process from malt and hops finely selected gives it a strong, tasty and vigorous character. Delicious fragrance of fresh yeast outlined by scents of fruit. Light bitterness with a touch of caramel and roasted malt. Smooth beer with strong personality yet in harmonious balance.

Gut!

Red-brown colour with a frothy dark white light beige head. Aromas of roast malts, dark fruits, nuts and toasted dark bread with a subtle hint of anise/fennel. Lightly carbonated with a thin yet somewhat smooth texture and a light-medium body. Subtle well balanced sweetness with a light supporting bitterness and a medium lasting finish. Nice.

Aroma: Brown sugar, caramel, dark fruits. Appearance: Brown beer with a off-white head. There are little pieces of I don’t know in the beer. Taste/Palate: Caramel, slightly sweet, kinda watery. Overall: Could be a bit more interesting, but is a really nice double.
