Previously brewed at DuBocq (Nov 2013)

This traditional Belgian beer finds its origin in 1815 at the time of the battle of Waterloo. Its old fashioned brewing process from malt and hops finely selected gives it a strong, tasty and vigorous character. Delicious fragrance of fresh yeast outlined by scents of fruit. Light bitterness with a touch of caramel and roasted malt. Smooth beer with strong personality yet in harmonious balance.

From tap at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Dark brown reddish color with beige head. Malty aroma, bready, caramel, grainy, some dark fruits. Sweet and light bitter taste like aroma. Medium thin to oily body with soft to average carbonation

Quite fancy. Interesting aroma, heavy maltiness, caramel, some roast, bit raisin, light yeast. Moderate sweet with light bitterness. Lovely enjoyable brew, tho nothing bold here

Bottle, thanks Mom. Pours in dark amber body with no head. Aroma has caramel character, toffee, light acidic. Taste has high caramel sweetness, toffee notes. Body is full, medium carbonation.

That little brother of quadruple, the beer is very likable but I do not like little brothers of most styles, mby IPAs :)

Pours very dark brown. Tan head. High aromas of cocoa, caramel, vanilla and a very particular smell of coriander. Powerful, sweet and creamy. Balanced, not very long.

33cl bottle at home, shared with a friend. A genuine full bodied strong double. Dark fruited flavour, with sweet nose, great malt and caramel taste with dark fruit notes. Even some vanilla touches. It is very raw, very blunt, unsubtle, but enjoyable too.

Een prima dubbel. Zwaar, lichte smaak van koffie, hop, gebrande mout. Toch nog wat vlak voor een dubbel.

Dark brown, small offwhite head. Medium co2. Aroma is sweet, caramel, some syrup, and dark candy. Also in the taste, sweetish, with some coffee-hints, some molasse, smooth and a bit dry. Nice one.

Nice dark brown pour with long lasting beige head and lacing coats the glass. Aromas of nuts, yeast and some spice. Tastes sweet, yeasty and pepper and other spice. Nice body and carbonation.
