3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle 75cl. A clear amber-brown beer with low head. Smell is fruity. Aroma is sweet, alcoholic, yeast like with high carbonation. Notes of dry fruits, apple, spices, body is low, malty side is low there is even no toasted or chocolate malt aroma ! Just candy sugar body, yes an uninteresting dubble.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark hazy brown color. Aroma doesn’t tell much. On palate it’s another story. Full and dense, with strong caramel and dark fruits hints. Medium bitterness and a very pleasant (and long) aftertaste.

Draft@ Cafè Brasseur in Bryssels: Black colour, with a creamy head. Aroma was black choclate, citrus, and the typical belgian yeasty nose i the end. Flavor was creamy mouthfeeling of coffee, choclate, caramel. Medium body and a nice medium fruity finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Burgundy with a diminishing beige collar. Squashy, black grape skin turning to currant aroma with some brown sugar and liquorice. Sweet and slightly boozy with notes of dried fruits, liquorice, apple peel, plastic and almond. Just a hint of breadiness in the aftertaste. Feels quite watery, lacking in yeast and a little characterless for a Belgian at this strength, and this dark. Decent, but in need of an infusion of magic.
