Previously brewed at DuBocq (Nov 2013)

Waterloo Tripel is brewed on huge amounts of pilsener malt. Aromatic Saazer and Spalter hops are added, but to no further extent than to give it a bitterness equal to a pilsener which gives more room to the beer’s sweetness. The beer is fermented with Du Bocq’s original yeast strain which is responsible for the delicate, spicy expression. After maturation and filtration the beer has a secondary fermentation in the bottle which causes its slight cloudiness.

Puikaus aromato ir usvaizdos alus. Putele laikosi, wvelniai drumstas. Stiprus skonis, jauciasi vaisiai, veliau ateina intensyvus kartelis.

Bottle at home, as Waterloo Triple Blond. 8% vol. Clear golden pour, thick white head. Aroma of spicy malts, caramel, toffee, maltose sugars and somewhat peppery. Flavor is quite sweet spicy malts, sugary, some alcohol and with a thick body. A bit messy and a little too sweet.

Yeasty aroma with honey, sugar and some yellow fruits. Clear golden colour with a great head and good carbonation. Very sweet (sugar) and watery and alcoholic. Boring alcoholic and slightly bitter aftertaste.

330ml at home. Pours with a big white head that dissapears fast. Strong pils malts, almost a bit sour. Not a very good beer.

Golden amber, large frothy head, nice carbonation. A: malts, citrus, gentle sour fruitiness. Reminds of Pilsener. T: sweet, with bubblegum and marzipan notes. Medium body, bit doughy. Develops a slightly boozy marzipan high. Sweet aftertaste. Typical Blonde slash Triple.

Pour une fois que je m’enflamme pour une bière belge. C’est que tout y est maîtrisé et réussi. Le goût est doux et fort. La bouche ronde et ample. Le malt la levure et le houblon sont équilibrés. Miam

330ml bottle - shared by Kairi - thanks!
Pleasant floral perfumey aroma, sweet, pleasant pilsner malts too, lovely and light. Pale, hazy, large tight head. Very soft palate. Nice soft grains, perfumey floral hops. Some slight soapiness in the finish, a little tingly and almost metallic. Very easy to drink, covers the alcoho l very well. Very nice tripel.
