COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously brewed at DuBocq (Nov 2013)

Waterloo Tripel is brewed on huge amounts of pilsener malt. Aromatic Saazer and Spalter hops are added, but to no further extent than to give it a bitterness equal to a pilsener which gives more room to the beer’s sweetness. The beer is fermented with Du Bocq’s original yeast strain which is responsible for the delicate, spicy expression. After maturation and filtration the beer has a secondary fermentation in the bottle which causes its slight cloudiness.

330ml brown bottle. Golden pour, hazy with some particles, large foamy white head. Good thick clingy lace. Fruity nose, syrupy apple, honeyorange, faint spice. Flavour has some yeast spiciness, sweetish, subtle fruitiness. Dryish finish, a little alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation. Drinks well, but there are more interesting tripels around.

Waterloo Triple Blond staat er op de fles. Goudgeel, magere kraag. Ruikt melig zoet, smaakt melig zoetig, ergens een hint van mout. Niet al teveel body. Zwak.. Erg zwak.

Decent beer, but low of Tripel expectations. Too carbonated in order to hide watery profile. Some maltiness, light caramel, slender fruitiness, bit yeast. Moderate sweetish al lthe way. Not bad, but one-timer

Well pretty much below expectations for this beer, typical Belgian with taste of triple. Appearance is cloudy and foam sets in 5 seconds

Bottle from AH. Lots of carbonation, golden colour, small head though. Herbal taste, a lot of hebrs, too much imo. Dominates the maltiness and hops.

33cl bottle. Golden color with thin head. Fruit and spices aroma. Malty, spices, orange, a little sweet. Nothing special for the style.

Golden color with white creamy head and lacing. Aroma of floral hops and yeast. Tastes of sweet malt and yeast, with a little bitterness and spice. Carbonation is good and body is medium.

Niet echt bijzonder biertje naar mijn mening. Vrij licht ook voor een tripel bier. Niet slecht toch. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
