Dec 30, 2007 Pours medium to light orange color forming a decent white foamy head. Aroma is of vanilla malts, yeast, and some hop flowers. Flavour is of St Bernard’s usual tripel.....still very good beer, would love to try on tap.

Dec 30, 2007 750ml bottle @ RBNAG’07. Almost clear orange body with some floaters and a decent white head. Aroma of sweet malt and castor sugar (marzipan?). Quite sweet flavor with a yeasty/fruity freshness. Complex and nice.

Dec 20, 2007 [bottle] Clear amber color with a dense white head. Pale malt aroma and good yeast presence. Flavors are sugary malt, although the sweetness is somewhat restrained, banana and fruit. Spicy, herbal hop finish.

Dec 16, 2007 A fairly ideal tripel. Fruity. Banana. This bottle sat for awhile in my stash for some reason. It shouldn’t have lasted that long. Another great St. Bernardus.

Dec 13, 2007 Cloudy light amber with a frothy white head. Good triple smell of spicy hops and pale malts. Medium body with a fizzy, lively mouthfeel. Strong taste is mostly dry with grainy, biscuity malts and spicy, earthy hops. A dry flavored triple, a malted martini if you will. Great stuff. 03/05/2006

Dec 4, 2007 Aged bottle thanks to John from Cameron’s Brewery. Light amber in colour with floating particles. Light white lacing head. Smells of alcohol, brandy, and walnuts..? Smooth body, very smooth and very nice. Can’t taste any alcohol, sweet and thick. Slightly bitter aftertaste, but a really nice balance of all the flavours involved. One of the nicest tripel’s I’ve tried.

Nov 30, 2007 Aroma is weak but pleasantly malty with hints of fruit - apple or pear. Color is orangy amber with a fairly thick but not persistent head. Flavor is rich, malty and fruity, with some nutty undertones and just a hint of hop bitterness. Texture is smooth and tingly, and the aftertaste is fairly fruity with just a hint of bitter and a touch of nuttiness. Very pleasing.
