Subtle citrus and floral aroma with some yeast too. The taste is dry for a tripel but still very fruity. A little bit biotter in the finish. A moderate tripel; better than 95% of the stuuf out there but not too good for as far as tripel’s go. Buy the St. Bernardus Abt 12 for the same price. urbnhautebourg (974), Annapolis, Maryland, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 19, 2007 When I opened this bottle a fragrance immediately hit my nose and all I could think is "tootie fruity". I have never uttered that phrase before, because it is a completely ridiculous phrase, but it perfectly captures the initial smell of this beer. After tasting it, the beer reminds me of exactly why I like real Belgian trippels--restrained sweetness, perfect viscosity, complex floral and fruit elements. Another wonderful tripel. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 25, 2007 Some citrus and honey in the nose and palate. Yeasty but not cloying or too sticky. Balanced and accessible but lacks the verve that would make it a remarkable tripel. tenghave (402), Taastrup, Denmark
