Commercial Description:
The aroma of this beer is agreeably gentle and is carried by a discreet bitterness while the balance between the malt and hops relies on fruity accents and a lightly fresh aftertaste.

750 ml bottle. Poured a clear and pretty light gold with a large frothy white head. Subtle citrus and floral aroma with some yeast too. The taste is dry for a tripel but still very fruity. A little bit biotter in the finish. A moderate tripel; better than 95% of the stuuf out there but not too good for as far as tripel’s go. Buy the St. Bernardus Abt 12 for the same price.

When I opened this bottle a fragrance immediately hit my nose and all I could think is "tootie fruity". I have never uttered that phrase before, because it is a completely ridiculous phrase, but it perfectly captures the initial smell of this beer. After tasting it, the beer reminds me of exactly why I like real Belgian trippels--restrained sweetness, perfect viscosity, complex floral and fruit elements. Another wonderful tripel.

Some citrus and honey in the nose and palate. Yeasty but not cloying or too sticky. Balanced and accessible but lacks the verve that would make it a remarkable tripel.
