(RBNAG’07 in Grimstad Nov. 3th) wetherel (1565), Encinitas, California, USA Nov 4, 2007 Had at Logan’s Oceanside beer tasting with AlohaC, and Hair, and Matt, and Ken, and Bill, and others. Light yellow color. Light foam. Nice fruity aroma A little corriander. Tastes aged. Very good. Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Oct 25, 2007 Some citrus and honey in the nose and palate. Yeasty but not cloying or too sticky. Balanced and accessible but lacks the verve that would make it a remarkable tripel. tenghave (402), Taastrup, Denmark Oct 22, 2007 gul-brun ufiltreret øl.
Nice yeasty aromas fall off the beer with touches of gentle spice and light hops as well as subtle fruit notes. The flavor is soft and sweet with a flowery fruit presence giving way to a bittering yet gentle hop kick. The beer doesn’t try to do anything too drastic and is a well balnced, tasty brew; however it ends up being rather plain, not really distinguishing itself from others. That being said -not a bad tripel. BelgianBeerGal (1276), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Oct 14, 2007 Bottle poured into Watou Tripel glass. Poured out a nice copper colour with a medium white head that dissolved. Aroma was malty, bready. Flavour has nice spice and hops. WabashMan (798), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Oct 13, 2007 A nice tripel, if less than extraordinary. A nice light/medium copper color, fairly quickly fading head, and pleasant nose. Fruity flavors somewhat more reminiscent of a dubbel than a tripel, and long lasting. Medium to full mouthfeel.
