| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 25, 2007 Bottle. Pours clear golden yellow with an enormous creamy white head. Aroma has a milky feel to it. Lots o yeast, caramel, spices and a little caramel. Flavour is not sour as other tripels, quite sweet with a clear malty presence, some barn, some coriander, a little vanilla and a non-existent alchol-feel. Finish is slightly warming. Great. cmr1517 (35), New Haven, Indiana, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 18, 2007 OK, I admit that I’m surprised that no one rated this before. It’s great, probably my favorite from St. Bernardus. Nose of orange blossom and apricot brandy, alcohol, sweet malts, bread and yeast, and even a touch of Cascade (ok, that’s probably just the orange blossom fooling me). Cloudy dark orange, huge head, explodes out of the bottle Orange, bread and yeast, mustiness in the flavor. Mouth is a big full Belgian. Really quite good. Noy cheap, but great value compared to the Hugh Maolne I had last night. pforei (338), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 15, 2007 Tulip glass. Pale yellow/gold color with minimal head for a triple. Honey champnage aroma. Mild taste of malt, fruit, and yeast with a sparring amount of hops. Needs more spice. Fin (3410), Merton, Oxfordshire, England

Typical sweet spicyness but with yeast and warming alcohol carrying through. Gr0ve (1393), Oslo, Norway
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 14, 2007 750 ml bottle. Cloudy yellow colour. Very tall fluffy white head that clongs to the glass. Head falls down quickly. Lemony wheat aroma. Rich malty and clean aroma. Wheaty flavours. Quite dry finish. bhensonb (4242), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 11, 2007 33 cL bottle, 040607. Aroma of burnt Belgian candy and yeast. And toffee. Hazy amber gold color with a sturdy white head that laces a little. Smells like maple syrup on waffles as the glass approaches the lips. Tastes that way a bit. I swear there’s maple in this. Minimal bitter. Just enough to stimulate the tongue. See what others have said. They are probably all correct. This is damnably complex. It keeps changing as it warms. It is a bit sweet, but it is otherwise exquisite.
