The initial sweet, candy and bubblegum flavor yields to an oddly bitter cereal- or cardboard-like flavor. It does kinda grow on you though. All in all a nice beer. tomthompson89 (1473), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 5, 2006 Corked bottle and served in my St Bernardus glass: Poured a hazy amber with a lasting frothy white head and very good Belgium lace. The aroma has notes of candi sugar, apricot, pear cider, cardamom, black pepper, old noble hops, plastic, and earthy yeast esters. The taste was rather old which I sort am digging with a oxidized cardboard finish after the initial hit of sweet malts, caramel, apricot, bubblegum, and other assorted sugary fun. What makes this very attractive is a nice dose of bitters around the midsection that strikes the back and sides of the palate with a cleansing effectiveness. Some lingering pungent spice on the aftertaste. The mouth feel is a tad weak and sort of fizzy but does keep it from feeling too heavy or cloy. This beer works and is aged just right, nice job Miguel. I am so proud of myself, no really. SHIG (2023), Aviano, Italy

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 30, 2006 Pours orange, dark golden color. Has a sweet aroma, some yeast. The flavor had somewhat of a sour flavor, not typical of most triples. It also felt very heavy. Not my favorite. Augustijn55 (82), Izegem, Belgium

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 29, 2006 The flavour of this beer is pleasantly soft and is characterized by a delicate bitterness where the balance between malt and hop is based upon a fruity orange taste with a straight fresh after taste (7.5% alcohol content). Nice beer that goes down well.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 28, 2006 Bottled. Light golden coloured. Unclear. Dense off white head. Fruits, spice, yeast and some orange peel in the nose. Flavour is fruity and yeasty. Loads of spices and orange. Quite refreshing. Medium bodied. Has some slight alcoholnotes. Ends on a fresh citric and light yeasty note. Nice summerbeer without too much alcohol.
