Esters. Wtf are they? I laugh cause on starting review I was thinking ’yeah, estery, this is estery’ then i realised i had no idea what that was. But lo and behold, on checking through other reviews there they are in this beer. Everyone is talking nonsense, not just me.

Thin/medium small bubble lacing, medium carbonation, thin/medium body, and nice fruity aroma. Taste is estery, fruit (mostly lemon with some banana), bready, some yeast, some pale candy sugar, and finishes rounded herbal hops.

A nice cany aroma with notes of bread, flower and some fruit. Low alc for tripel, but held its own.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 langeveld12 (101) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 9, 2012
Head is large, white and fizzy and lastst. Lacing is good. Body is clear and sparkling and yellow. Aroma is yeatss, mostly lemon, some hay and alcohol. It looks and smells like a tripel. Taste however is softer than one would expect, with light acidity, sweetness and biterness turning to a somewhat metallic light acidic and bitter finish. Alcohol is warming in the beginning but quickly vanishes to be replaced by a subtle hoppy finish. Carbonation is also strong at first but is reduced swiftly. All in all not spectacular or surprising but still very much enjoyable.

Poured from a bottle into a Trappist glass. Pours a translucent gold with a large creamy white head. The aroma is sweet and phenolic. Some esters come through as well. Taste is slightly sweet with fruity notes. Pretty nice overall.

pour is a hazy dark peach skin color with a thick tight off white head. Nose has loads of yeast and a nice spice to it. Earthy banana notes up front with some lemon underneath. Taste follows the nose, a touch sweeter, full body and high clean carbonation. Zesty lemon juice, peppery, and yeast mix together and balance out very well. Solid stuff, gets a hint sweet in the finish.
